I know that freshlook has gray, honey, blue and green. and i also found out that i have astigmatism in only one eye. I really wanted a more unique color like turqoise or baby blue. But are there any other companies that have more unique colors, but also for astigmatism?

February 9th, 2010I am wearing contacts for the first time. I am nearsighted and have astigmatism. This is day two of the contacts and my vision goes from being clear to blurry for a bit than back to clear. Is it because I am new to contacts and my eyes are adjusting or am I sadly unable to wear them? Other than that they feel fine.

I know they have Amethest lens in the Freshlook brand, but they do not have them available for astigmatic patients. Anyone know of a brand that make purple contact lens for astigmatic clientel?
My New Contacts Are Messed Up?
February 7th, 2010Here’s the deal: I’ve had astigmatisms in both eyes. I used to wear normal contacts about 2 or 3 years ago and they were fine, but now I went to a new place to get contacts and they prescribed me the acuvue astigmatism contacts. Anyway I’ve been wearing the trial pair and the second day in, I had to go back to my glasses, because they were blurry and hurt my eyes. I also developed headaches while wearing them. The doctor told me to wear them for a week then told me to come back so he could make sure everything was alright, but I can’t stand wearing them for more than a few minutes before I get a headache. I don’t want to give up on contacts and afraid I’ll have to, because this new place is the only one that I can go to that my insurance covers contacts and money is really tight right now. Is it possible that the regular ones will be better?

Question For An Eye Doctor Or Someone Who Has Used Ortho K Contacts?
February 6th, 2010Alright so heres the thing. My astigmatism is too high to use Ortho K’s. What would happen if I just used the Ortho K’s to correct my nearsightedness and then used reading glasses to correct the astigmatism? Would that work? Do you need to correct astigmatism when you are using distance vision?
